Goooooo Cougars!

WOW.
Life has been crazy good here at school! I've been an avid Facebook-er but I decided (thanks to Kacy Morris's example) that a blog would be just as fun.
NSO "Y" Photo! The Incoming Class of 2011!!!
Sooo.....a brief summary of the past five weeks.....

Just kidding. Like that's possible. Well, it is possible....but as an oh so busy college student I don't think I have time to recap everything that has gone on. So here and there, when things don't add up that I'm talking about, I'll just have to add some background information. :)
First Football Game with Whitney! :)
First of all, college life is amazing. Everyone always said college was the time of their life--THEY WERE RIGHT. I have this quote up above my desk that says "High school is high school, but it's not until you get out of high school that you realize it's just a stepping stone in life."  True. That.
I have an amazing roommate named Whitney Petersen, who just happened to be my BFF in Preschool until she moved away to San Diego.  Over the years, we were pen pals, then email buddies, then Facebook-ers, and now ROOMIES! :) It's been a month and we have both adjusted well to the lovely living arrangements of  dorm life--for instant, the loud noises heard at 1 AM, screams included, the want to stay up all night long and the alarm clocks yelling for us to get up. Whitney has early class, so every morning she is awesome at staying quiet while I put my covers over my head and go back to sleep! I have class starting at 11 M/W/F and 9:30 T/TH while she has 8 AM classes. But it's not a big deal...I just always have crazy weird dreams after she leaves!!!

Tuesday Adventures....
The awesome thing about already knowing your roommate and being good friends with her is the new circle of friends created at college is centered around an already stronger friendship!!....if that made any sense! Whitney and I quickly became great friends with Shelby Patterson (who heard us being loud one night and just walked into our room! We're been inseparable ever sense! And she still continues to come over unannounced!), Emily Webb (who I sorta of knew of because Emily's dad and my dad went to college together!), and Lydia Brewer (who we met at the NSO dance and connected through the hot sweatiness language of DANCING!).  The five of us have sooo much fun together, whether it's eating meals, staying up late, having leaf scavenger hunts, watching movies, boy talk, people watching, planking, and any other mess we can get ourselves into!!!

Shelby (FHE MA), Me, and Jessica playing Whack the Cracker..yupp. :)
Meanwhile....my ward is awesome! We're all still in that awkward stage where we don't know everyone's names..but we have a relief society presidency and I'm happy to say that I am NOT in it! :) So far, I don't have a calling (knock on ward) and I like it that way!
The other unique thing about BYU is our FHE groups. Luckily for me, my bestie Shelby Patterson is in it with me! (our ward didn't go by roommates).  At first....we were a dysfunctional "family" without parents but Shelby and this boy Wade took over.  We've had some fun nights--playing "Whack the Cracker" and "Touch Football". Overall, we've got a good family with some really neat people in it!

And the classes?? Well......I'd tell you about them....but look at the time! I've already spent tons of time talking about college--I better go study!!

Especially because there's ANOTHER football game tonight!!!!! So until then....

GO COUGARS....and RISE UPPP! :)
